About the Coach

Corey Hoch, native of Anchorage, Alaska, has been in Florida since 2009. He has been with Brandon Academy since 2021 and has assisted with high school basketball and the inaugural men’s volleyball season. He has prior experience volunteering for 2 years as a youth basketball coach with the North Brandon Family YMCA and was recognized by the YMCA by receiving the Naismith Award for dedicated coaching. 

He captained state runner-up teams in varsity basketball while lettering in basketball and cross country all four years of high school. After graduating in 2007 in Alaska, he played one year of NCCAA basketball at a small private college in Kentucky before relocating to Florida. 
 

He is an alumni of HCC, UF, Lincoln Memorial University, and LSUS. Currently, he runs and trains for local races and also plays ice hockey.
