The music program at Brandon Academy is designed to instill great excitement for all forms of music and give the student a working knowledge of music. This promotes creativity while presenting the basic music principles sequentially and age appropriate. Movement, rhythmic chants, singing and playing pitched and un-pitched instruments are the means in which these principles are taught. Music theory and the lives and compositions of famous composers are sequentially presented to all grades. When possible thematic units are used to assist in an area being covered in the classroom
Students begin taking Music in PK3 & JK who meet weekly for two quarters during the school year. For students in grades K-5, the class meets twice a week for two quarter.
