Summer Camps
Summer Camp 2026
Brandon Academy is excited to announce our offerings for our June Summer Camp program for students going into grades K-12 for the 2026-2027 school year! Students can choose from AM half-day (8:30-12), PM half-day (12:00-3:30), and full-day options, or combine an AM and PM option to customize your own full-day camp. All half-day options are $140/week, and full-day camps are $280/week. We have a little bit of everything: sports, ceramics, improv, insects, fairytales, woodworking, cooking, and more! Come spend some of your summer meeting new friends and exploring new or favorite activities at Brandon Academy.
Our camps will be held on our campus and staffed by our caring and talented BA faculty. For families who need additional time, we are offering morning care beginning at 7:45 am ($30/week) and aftercare until 5 pm ($70/week). Well-behaved students who do not currently attend Brandon Academy are still welcome to attend our Summer Camp!

Registration
Registration is now open, and camps will be removed from the registration page when they are full. You may contact our camp director, Dr. Browning (browning@brandon-academy.com) if you would like to be placed on the waiting list for a closed camp.
When registering, please be sure to use the grade your child will be next school year, starting August 2026.
Please be aware that your registration is not complete until payment is made.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel your registration, the full amount paid less a $25 administrative fee will be refunded as long as you cancel more than one week before the start of the camp (8:30 am the Monday PRIOR to camp start date). Any cancellations within one week of the start date will not be refunded, as staffing is set at that time.
What to Bring
All students will need to bring a packed lunch. Microwaves will be available on campus for heating up meals brought from home. Students are encouraged to bring a morning and afternoon snack and a refillable water bottle for the Florida heat.
Students should leave all electronics and valuables at home, as Brandon Academy is not responsible for missing items. We could all use some more screen-free time and camp is the perfect chance to disconnect!

Camp Descriptions
Week 1, June 1-5:
Grades K-2
Kitchen Chemistry with Ms. Huebner (grades K-2, AM): A kitchen chemistry summer camp is an exciting, hands-on experience where science comes to life through everyday ingredients and creative experiences. Campers explore fundamental chemistry concepts by mixing, heating, and observing reactions in a kitchen setting. From making homemade ice cream to watching baking soda and vinegar fizz, participants learn about states of matter and chemical reactions in a fun way. The camp encourages curiosity and teamwork, plus you get to make and eat yummy snacks.
Insect Investigators with Ms. Huebner (grades K-2, PM): Insect Investigators is an engaging summer camp where curious campers explore the fascinating world of bugs and their habitats. Through hands-on activities like observing insects up close, exploring outdoor areas, and learning how different species live and interact, campers discover the important roles insects play in nature. Campers will build simple bug habitats, collect and identify specimens, take part in arts and crafts, and learn fun facts about everything from ants to butterflies.
Grades 3-5
Kiln Fired Ceramics with Teacher Alex (grades 3-5 AM, 6-8 PM): Students will explore the art of working with earthenware clay to create functional and decorative pieces like bowls, mugs, and sculptures. They will learn hand-building techniques, basic wheel throwing skills, and glazing with all work fired in a kiln for a finished, professional result. This camp builds patience, creativity, and confidence while giving students a tangible piece of art to take home.
Team Sports with Mr. Morrison (grades 3-5, AM): Students will have a chance to master the rules and work on the fundamentals of various team sports such as soccer and football. Through guided drills and scrimmages, campers will not only learn technical skills but also foundational skills like sportsmanship and teamwork. This will be the perfect environment for athletes of all levels to play hard, gain confidence, and stay active.
Movie Making with Ms. Parks (grades 3-5, PM): Students will express their creativity and learn leadership skills by writing and directing their own short films! Students will work with partners or small groups to create dialogue and design characters. They will then bring their vision to life by directing and recording their creations, encouraging teamwork and collaboration. At the end of the week, they will get to screen the movies for one another!
Bake it/Take it with Mr. Morrison (grades 3-5, PM): Campers will transform into confident junior chefs as they master the art of the oven. Campers will learn the science of measuring and mixing while whipping up delicious, scratch-made treats and meals. The best part: every camper-made masterpiece will be packaged to go, so campers can share their creations with their family and friends. It’s the perfect recipe for developing culinary skills and making sweet summer memories.
Grades 6-8
Character Crafting On Stage with Ms. Parks (grades 6-8, AM): Students will explore the art of embodying a character on stage! Using monologues and duologues, students will practice skills such as character analysis, verbal and nonverbal expression, and reaction and interaction. Students will have the opportunity to practice multiple different character and situation types, building confidence and a wider repertoire for the stage!

Through hands-on activities and creative projects, campers learn about marine animals, ocean habitats, and the unique features of ocean environments. Campers will investigate sea creatures, create ocean-themed arts and crafts, and explore concepts like tides and ocean zones.
Under the Stars with Ms. Huebner (grades K-2, PM): Under the stars is an exciting summer camp that blends the adventure of camping with the wonders of the night sky. Campers explore the outdoors while learning about constellations, planets, and how the sky changes from night to night. Through hands-on activities, they will set up camp, learn basic outdoor skills, create star-themed arts and crafts, and use simple tools to observe the sky. Basketball with Coach Cris (grades K-2 PM): Students will learn the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, passing, and shooting through fun, fast-paced games. This week is perfect for beginners and experienced players looking to improve their skills in an exciting team environment.
Grades 3-5

Printmaking (Linocut, Monoprint) with Teacher Alex (grades 3-5, AM): Students will discover the exciting process of printmaking by creating their own designs and transferring them onto paper. They will learn linocut carving and monoprint techniques to produce unique, repeatable artworks. This camp blends creativity with technique that is great for students who enjoy hands-on processes and seeing their designs come to life in multiples.

Mini-Movie Magic with Ms. Parks (grades 3-5, PM): Students will exercise their creativity, teamwork, and stage skills by acting in, filming, and refining a short film together! Instead of being on stage, students will be able to find locations around campus to film scenes of a short play they create together, going back and refilming where necessary. At the end of the week, students will be able to screen their own film after finishing!
Grades 6-8
Musical Theater with Ms. Parks (grades 6-8, AM): A celebration of musical theater! Students will explore songs from different eras, styles, and genres, pairing them with choreography and a frame story to create our own mini musical! Students will have the opportunity for solos or features as well as ensemble parts. Large group, small group, and individual choreography and staging allow students to practice teamwork as well as individual stage presence.
Engineering with Mr. Morrison (grades 6-8, PM): Using physics and basic engineering concepts such as tension and compression, campers will explore the world of structural design as they build and test their very own bridges and contraptions. Choosing from a variety of materials, campers will be able to see how these choices hold up under pressure through load-bearing tests and timed competitions. Campers will tease their brains while turning their creative ideas into solid reality.
Week 3, June 15-19:

STEAM-tastic Art with Ms. Huebner (grades K-2, AM): STEAM-tastic art camp is a creative and engaging week-long experience where art meets science, technology, engineering, and math. Campers explore how these subjects connect through hands-on projects that combine creativity with problem solving, such as designing structures, using engineering concepts, and creating art inspired by scientific ideas. Throughout the week, participants use a variety of tools and techniques to bring their ideas to life while discovering new ways to think about both art and innovation.
Soccer with Coach Cris (grades K-2, AM): Campers will build footwork, coordination, and teamwork through engaging soccer drills and small-sided games. This week focuses on movement, spacing, and game play in a fun and active setting.
Around the World with Ms. Huebner (grades K-2, PM): Around the World summer camp is an exciting week-long adventure where campers explore the cultures, traditions, and landmarks of countries from every continent. Through hands-on activities, games, and arts and crafts, campers learn about different foods, music, languages, and customs while “traveling” around the globe without leaving camp. Campers will create cultural projects and experience stories and activities inspired by global traditions. The camp offers a fun way for campers to discover the diversity of the world while sparking curiosity and creativity.
Soccer with Coach Cris (grades K-2, PM): Campers will build footwork, coordination, and teamwork through engaging soccer drills and small-sided games. This week focuses on movement, spacing, and game play in a fun and active setting.
Grades 3-5
Crafting Characters with Ms. Parks (grades 3-5, AM): Students practice stage skills like projection, expression, and movement with character practice in a short one-act play. They will practice creating and staying in character as well as building believable expressions and interactions. At the end of the week, parents are invited to watch their students perform!
Engineering with Mr. Morrison (grades 3-5, AM): Using physics and basic engineering concepts such as tension and compression, campers will explore the world of structural design as they build and test their very own bridges and contraptions. Choosing from a variety of materials, campers will be able to see how these choices hold up under pressure through load-bearing tests and timed competitions. Campers will tease their brains while turning their creative ideas into solid reality.
Woodworking with Mr. Morrison (grades 3-5, PM): Campers will learn essential shop safety while mastering the basics of measuring, sanding, and assembly. Each camper will craft their very own self-milled picture frame and other products from raw materials. This course will build an appreciation for safe use of basic woodworking tools, improve fine motor skills, and reward campers with a tangible creation to immortalize a favorite memory.
Papier Mache Sculptures with Teacher Alex (grades 3-5, PM): Students will transform simple materials into imaginative 3D sculptures using Papier Mache techniques. From animals to fantasy creatures and abstract forms, campers will build, layer, and paint their creations. This hands-on camp is a fun, slightly messy experience that encourages creativity, problem solving, and bold artistic expression.
Grades 6-8

Improv with Ms. Parks (grades 6-8, PM): Students will exercise their creative muscles and learn to think on their feet practicing improv! Through various improv exercises targeting different stage and acting skills, students will practice responding to one another’s cues, keeping a scene moving, and staying in character, all while getting to try fun and wacky scenarios!
Grades 6-12
Summer Basketball Camp (Grades 6–12, Full Day): Take your game to the next level this summer with a high-energy, skill-focused basketball camp designed for athletes in grades 6–12. This camp emphasizes advanced skill development through a mix of individual and group training, including ball handling, shooting, footwork, and movement both with and without the ball. Players will also focus on game concepts such as spacing, decision-making, and offensive and defensive execution. Each session includes competitive drills, situational play, and team-based activities that challenge athletes while building confidence, leadership, and basketball IQ. Whether preparing for the upcoming season or looking to improve overall performance, this camp provides a focused, competitive, and fun environment for players of all skill levels. Please bring your own ball.
Week 4 June 22-26:
Grades K-2
Great Outdoors (grades K-2, AM): Great Outdoors camp is an adventurous week-long experience where campers connect with nature and explore the beauty of the outdoors. Through hands-on activities, games, and outdoor projects, campers learn about plants, animals, and the natural environment. Campers enjoy a variety of outside summer fun activities throughout the week, with a special water day on Friday. The camp offers an exciting way for campers to experience outdoors and try new activities.
Fairy Tale Fun (grades K-2, PM): Fairy Tale Fun Summer Camp is a whimsical week-long adventure where campers step into the world of classic stories and magical characters. Through creative activities, imaginative games, and arts and crafts, campers bring their favorite fairy tales to life, exploring everything from enchanted forests to castles and magical creatures. Campers will act out stories, create fairy tale-themed crafts, and invent their own magical tales. The camp offers a playful and imaginative experience where campers can explore storytelling, creativity, and the magic of make-believe.
Puppet Reader’s Theater (grades K-2, PM): Students will explore the joy of theater by acting out short versions of beloved children’s stories with puppets! Students will practice art and motor skills by making their own puppets as well as reading and speaking skills by acting out their stories. Students will be able to show their hard work at the end of the week with a performance!
Grades 2-5
Summer Basketball Camp (Grades 2–5, Full Day): Get ready for a fun, energetic, and skill-building basketball experience this summer! Designed for students in grades 2–5, this camp focuses on developing fundamental skills in a positive and engaging environment. Campers will work on ball handling, shooting technique, footwork, and movement both with and without the ball, along with passing, cutting, and spacing. Each session includes teamwork activities, small-sided games, and fun competitions that build communication, confidence, and overall game understanding. Our goal is to help every player improve their skills, grow their confidence, and develop a love for the game—all while having fun! Please bring your own ball.
Grades 3-5
Painting (Watercolor, Acrylic) with Teacher Alex (grades 3-5, AM): Students will experiment with both watercolor and acrylic paints while learning foundational techniques like color mixing, brush control, and composition. Projects will range from landscapes to expressive, personal artwork. This camp is perfect for beginners and experienced young artists alike, offering a balance of skill-building and creative freedom.
Mini Musical Theater with Ms. Parks (grades 3-5, AM): Students will learn about rhythm, movement, and expression while also working on vocals. Combining beloved musical theater songs with a frame narrative and choreography will allow students opportunities to work together as well as stand out with solo or feature opportunities!

Grades 6-8

Debate with Mr. Morrison (grades 6-8, PM): Empower our middle school campers to find their voice and build a persuasive case in our speech and debate program. Campers will dive into the arts of logical reasoning, researching and analyzing multiple perspectives, and constructing compelling arguments. Through high-energy mock debates, they will sharpen their public speaking skills and gain the ability to quickly think on their feet. This is the ultimate environment for turning critical thinkers into articulate leaders.
